New Year Resolutions
Beginning of 2011 I wrote a new year list. Who knows where that list ended up. I plan on writing this one out three times so hopefully I won’t forget or lose it.
- Read at least one novel a month. I use to be so good at reading, but lately it’s taken a back burner. Reading is something my mother always encouraged me to do and its a treasure I never want to lose. I want to challenge myself to also read some classics.
- Watch some of the old classic movies. Might seem like an odd one but there are some real gems with wise advice and I wish to seek them out.
- Write journal entries. I’m not going to try for every day but two or three times a week. Writing is good for the soul and for keeping myself in check with stress, emotions and life in general.
- Eat healthier snacks and balanced meals. I am horrible for eating like a bird and then chowing down on junk. This must stop.
- Always save time for friends and family. With the challenge of balancing work and school drawing near this is another important one I must work towards.
- Maintain good grades and do not fall back onto bad habits of procrastination. This one I feel is fairly self-explanatory. With never going to “real school” I really want to show that I can do this.
- Always continue to push myself in dance and further my knowledge in teaching. Again pretty self-explanatory.
- Always be willing to try new things and keep an open mind. Sometimes I start right off the bat saying “I can’t & I won’t” this attitude will get me no where in life. Time to stand up and grow up.
- Live with no regrets. Because life is too short. You cannot undo the past, only learn from it and bring what you now know into the future with you.
