Dec 31st marked my grandparents 60th Anniversary. My Granny and Poppy are incredible, beautiful people. My Granny was an Art teacher and I am proud to have her art hanging on my wall and I brag about how she painted it all the time. She’s taught me a few dance moves in the hallway on more than one occasion, for just in case! She dislikes bubble gum and glares or sighs heavily at me almost everytime I chew it near her :). Once when I had the chicken pox and a fever while vacationing in Florida, she stayed up with me and we did crossword puzzles until I could sleep. My Poppy claims to be an alien :) it’s because he has three bellybuttons and a line on his tummy. He can always make me smile wether its a granddaughter hug or one of his “gruffs” in a response to something you said or asked. I think I developed my love for marzipan from him as well :). My grandfather is a wise man whom I respect deeply. I love my grandparents so much and hope that one day I too will have a strong, loving, and lasting marriage such as theirs.
